Here I was assuming it'd be just normal non-CE discussion, general chitchat and stuff. But nope, it's partially filled with CE questions, despite being lower on the list than the CE forums. I wish I knew what went through the minds of people who posted in something halfway down the list. Do they just skim for keywords, or point at the screen at random and post in that section?

Well, there are people who post non-CE stuff, general chit-chat etc but all of that ends up in random spam. A couple of my posts ended up in random spam that i remember (one where i was talking about lingon website being taken down).

The section description says it, "Post your topics and discussions here (about CE) that you can't find a good section for".

yeah, random spam is pretty decent and the most active. gd is the second most. people in rs have been posting for about a decade.

careful though, rs posts can randomly add or deduct from your post count.

I find that most new comers seem to land up posting in the Lua section just because its near the top. Most of the time new posts in that section do not have anything to do with Lua at all and I land up having to move them.

General discussion is if you wish proper replies, random spam is when you really don't care

examples:
post: Look at the picture of my new puppy
gd reply: aw cute
rs reply: you're a fag

post: i bought a new pc, these are the specs
gd: your gpu sucks and you should get...
rs: you're a fag

post: what is the circumference of a circle
gd: C=2πr where r is the radius (distance from center to border)
rs: you're a fag
