I think he wants us to create a "browser-based-cheat-engine" program; so he can run it on his browser?

it's so things like javascript objects are easier to find and manipulate
i have looked into, but it may be easier to just compile an open source browser myself, and adding some new functions to the java interpreter to get a better memory overview
also, one of the reasons it's not a priority is that most browser games are server sided, but when AAA games start being made in html5 i'll look into it

Idunno' if many games will go HTML5 professionally. I tried messing with it for things and I found that in actuality, the performance and graphical support across various platforms was far more hit-or-miss than I had been lead to believe.
Jagex was actually rewriting the Runescape game client in HTML5, but they also found the graphical and performance issues to be so bad that they dropped the project and are making a new client in straight-up C++.

Right now the only thing holding HTML5 back is browser support. While a few browsers really push to support as much as possible, it is still too scattered across the board to really mainstream it more. It is already a proven technology and is definitely going to overtake Flash sooner or later, it is just a matter of browsers implementing proper support for things though.
The following site has a nice list of what browser does/doesn't support each element of HTML5:
http://caniuse.com/
http://caniuse.com/#cats=HTML5
They show details about each element and so on as well if you search for them. They also include support for CSS3/Javascript things as well as some others.
