Is there a way to use Cheat Engine to finish a quest with a hotkey?

For example, I have a quest where I have to kill 100 enemies to finish it.

I know I can just edit the value. I even put it into a cheat table that if I kill one of them that I get over 200 in an instant. But I mean, is there a way to add the kills without doing anything?

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like you found out what writes to the address and changed that instruction.

Instead, find out what accesses the address and inject code to set the value there.

				| Now I know how to add the numbers without doing anything in the game. But even after it reaches 100, the quest thinks it's not done yet. (Added more until the number was 1000.) After I eliminated a single target, the quest suddenly finished. Seems like there is a trigger that tells the quest to give out the reward.

It's probably because the game isn't constantly checking your score.

Which is smart because that would be a lot of wasted processing.

The only time it needs to check the score is when the score changes (when you kill something).

I suppose it might be possible to create a thread that runs the code for you.

A lot more hassle than it's worth. Just kill something!

				Oh well.

I guess I have to run back and forth all the time. It's not far away from the quest NPC but it's getting annoying to always get the loading screen.

But at least I managed to make it an instant finisher after the first kill. No need to grind the area for 100 or more of them.

Thanks anyways for your support.
