Except with subpar animation and slower pacing, while changing details around and mixing the timeline of events.
The slow pacing and bad animation are traits of Toei Animation, which do this to almost every anime they ever make.

Rant: No offense, but I don't like the direction this series is going... In the actual BoG movie, Beerus arrives at King Kai's planet 20:34 into the movie. In Dragon Ball Super, it takes 96:00 minutes!! (4 episodes x 24 minutes)
The art and animation just seems lazy... especially for a reboot. In all honesty, who wants to watch a slow paced reboot with much worse animation than the original?
Goku's voice actor sounds like a constipated grandma getting a hysterectomy. Trunk's voice actor sounds like Squidward just sucked on a helium balloon. King Kai's voice actor sounds like he belongs in a nursing home.
We get this long winded backstory with Pilaf, but no explanation as to why they became children? What was up with those ugly dark outlines around the characters? This story is progressing at grandma pacing. This episode was pretty bad... 2/10
