Cheat Engine

Hi, Total noob to cheat engine, read a few tutorials, tried to do the "pointer scan new address" method trying to get the address for a perk (specifically "Scholar" if that matters).

When I load the old pointer+offsets, it either gives me blank+last offset, or an incorrect address, I have no idea what to do from here.

Maybe, your pointer scan have failed or you do not re-scan to narrow your results.
Sometimes, the game uses offsets that are out of range of your scanned options.

I did rescan to narrow my results, can you tell me more about the last part though?

When you do pointer scans, you must open a window with some initial options . At the bottom of this window, you will find options that say maximum offset value and max level. Increase this maximum offset value to increase your chance. However, this option may slow down your progress and you can be failed again. I'm not sure that it will be helpful.

I tried this, and now it went from 863647487 pointer counts on the first scan to 0 on the rescan.

I'm totally lost :c

You should take a screenshot of your scan settings and post here. Maybe, someone else can help you. I don't know much about recent games and programming. So i don't think i could do better than you.
