|

Hi guys,
I have a small issue with the CE kernelmode debugger.
First of all it works great, no problems with Win8.1 x64 and I also activated the kernel routines of the "extra" settings tab and I was able to debug every game I wanted so far ...
But now to my problem: My computer automatically goes into eco-mode (this one where it saves the current session in the RAM, I don't know the correct Englisch term) after 30 minutes to save energy. The problem is, when I've got DBVM running (version 8 ), I can't use CE anymore ... Not until I restart my computer.
When I've activated DBVM before my computer goes into eco-mode and I now wake it, CE says "Your system supports DBVM" and doesn't recognize I already ran DBVM before.
I've tried both, re-activating DBVM and just attaching the KM-Debugger to a game without klicking on the DBVM-Label again. Either way I get a bluescreen.
I now wanted to ask, if anyone could tell me how I can prevent this issue from happening every 30 minutes and how I can still use CE after I woke up my computer from eco-mode ...
Some facts (in case they're important for you):
- Running Win 8.1 x64
- Using kernelmode debugger, both checkboxes (global debug routines and ability to step through kernel code) are UNCHECKED
- I've activated all kernel routines on the "extra" settings tab except for the process watcher (so the Query memory, Read/Write Process memory and Open process are checked)

P.S.: Just because I'm curious: What exactly is the "Use global debug routines" checkbox good for? If I have this one checked I can still attach the debugger, but when I'm trying to i.e. find out what access an address my whole system is hanging as soon as the debugger get's a result (which is not even displayed) ...

after powersaving mode close ce and run the kernelmodule unloader.
alternatively, just configure windows to never go to sleep(recommended)
global debug means it will set the global debug flag in every cpu and sets the breakpoint in every process it encounters

Thanks for the reply, the kernelmodule unloader works just fine (and till I move to my new flat in summer turning off the powersaving mode is not really an option :/)

i mean in powersaving settings you can tell it the time to sleep yourself. instead of that stupid 30 minute timer set it to 2 hours. Or just make sure you turn off your system when youbleave
