Im trying to hack a multi player online game which many have already succeeded in hacking. Players are changing the value of the currency used in this game to have billions and a huge advantage over others. When i change this value it either gets set to 0 and game crashes then after refresh it returns to normal, or if i did it in a different way it gets set back and doesnt change without a game crash. Its very frustrating since many have already done it and are always doing it which makes it very hard to compete im 100% sure its possible but im not pro at this. I just know the basics. I've never even relied on it before hope someone can help. I dont think its that complicated since as i mentioned many are doing it already. Its quite the challenge for me since the players who know it definitely wont help me win against them by telling me how to do it Razz

. So far no signs of any bans or any tracing or stopping the hackers. This currency can be earned free but takes lots of time. The currency which requires real $ to buy is easily traceable by the game mods so no one bothers with it.

So this is a client sided game which means it possible to hack ? There's also a bug in this game where you can buy a weapon pack for free without spending any money by disconnecting the game and restarting the moment you buy and transaction takes place, but this doesnt work on all weapons.

Ohh i thought it does especially in this case since many are abusing this. That's why its frustrating thanks anyways. I just wanted to learn more about cheat engine and find out how they are doing it. Its challenging if it was very hard no way over 50 players can do it. I dont think its that complicated

An item like currency in a multiplayer game is almost always server sided.

Thanks for the help i think i got now a better idea of how they are doing it they must be relying on someone who's pro in using cheat engine to do it for them. I tried many ways spent hours but its not that easy. Unless there's a loophole somewhere and they do it by changing the value the same way as the in game bug works which is by quickly disconnecting or restarting the moment they change value. Since this bug allows you to buy weapons for free this way which normally are very hard to buy without spending hours to save the currency they require. I tried changing the value of the price of a weapon pack by switching it to -100000 and hoping the currency gets added instead of getting decreased. Game crashed.. changing skill points causes the value to become -3 then game crashes as well. If the game doesnt crash the value gets set back to normal. I also tried changing the number of a weapon that i have but no change happens.

What I'm saying is that if the value is controlled server side (which is most likely the case in a multiplayer game) then Cheat Engine will NOT be able to change any server side values.

Yea but if its not cheat engine then what is it i've already seen many screen shots of players doing this succesfully also two of my friends were helped by someone to give them each 100 mil of the game currency. So its possible. Thanks for the help i understand you cant give me more info about this topic since its against the forum policy. Thank you for your time
