It would be cool to set up a perspective camera on the outside that gets your environment and uses it for in-game data.
Like imagine a kinect strapped to the rift, and you're in a room with other players that all have the same setup, your client would recognize each player and display them in the game using their real world position and pose etc. but they would have the appearance of their own character.
Not exactly practical for games, but a cool thought.
