It incorrectly identifies a lot of floats as pointers...

And I have to manually check and change them back to float one by one

and sometimes it throws me an access violation error and the UI hangs.

that's very annoying when comparing a very large class object

rant aside... just curios to know how it works

It completly guesses it based on some simple rules that an pointer takes precendence over floats, floats take precedence over doubles. And if they are human readable values, or are too big/complex to be used by people.
That's why it asks you if you wish ce to GUESS the types. It's not a requirement at all to use it. You can manually add entries from the start
