Cheat Engine

Hello, I recently downloaded cheatengine and went through the tutorials.

I tried to apply it on an mmorpg called Scions of Fate

so basically, I tried to change the values of my attack power / defense power etc, but although they show up as changed on my game screen, when I actually go in battle, the changed stats do not apply.

For example, I open my stats window and change the ATK value from 300 to 1500. That means when I fight a monster, I should do wayyy more damage, but I only do the 300 atk power dmg on a monster.

same scenario applies for defense.

So here are some questions:

1. is this the server-sided, client-sided memory issues that I can't meddle with?
2. From what I can tell by the process I've done to change the values and "freeze", I've simply went to the memory location and changed the values there. Why doesn't this effect the gameplay?
3. What should I do in order to REALLY rig my damage?
4. Am I even asking the right / relevant questions lol?

I'm not a genius in computer related topics and programming, but I do have determination and will to sit down and learn the tricks.

In MMOs, your stats are calculated and stored server-side, not on your computer (your computer only displays to you the RESULTS of what's going on on the server), so you cannot hack them directly.

And this forum doesn't allow discussion of online games like that anyways. Use CE for non-multiplayer stuff.
