How do I cheat?

I am able to change the values and can see the values post in the game, but the game is not allowing use of the updated values. Can you tell me what to do to use the changed value?

Dark Byte-duh, What I'm looking for is if someone knows of a specific formula or ratio that will allow the new value to be used. It just posting the change and looking pretty just doesn't cut it.

Disconnect from the internet. If you can't play anymore give up
If you can still play then try a different value type/other ways it might actually be stored
