Have been making some progress in the gym. Now I'm aiming to lower my fat percentage, but as we're reaching the cold winter days, I'm contemplating on extending my bulk.

Nice work ani. I have my bulk scheduled for another 5 weeks or so, then I'm going to get down to 175-180 ish.

If you want the new program I started, let me know. It's been putting me on my ass and growing my shoulders like weeds.

Not going much bigger actually. I just said it'd be about 5 more weeks before my cut. I'm honestly not as big as I look, I'm probably around 20% bf, some of that sits on your arms and chest too.

And I'm nowhere close to a bodybuilder.

the last item in each list is supplemental bbing work that's optional if you just want strength gains. The workout itself is a mix of strength and hypertrophy work. If you want more hypertrophy do all the supplemental work, and switch the 5X5s to 4x8s and the 4x8s to 4x12s.

Split is A, B, Rest, C, D, Rest, A, etc. I'll often go in and just do some arm and accessory back work one day so I have 6 workout days a week.

I'm still tweaking it a bit, but I'm really liking it, and I can attribute some big shoulder, back, and leg gains to it.

I'm not talking bulk gains. I'm talking definition gains.


There's not two different types of gains. You eat above maintenance and that puts on mass, that's all there is to it. Crossfit is endurance based exercises, it goes past the optimum range for building muscle and is more of a form of cardio with weights.

Look up the science behind building mass. You essentially just said you want to "tone up" and there's no such thing.
