How do I cheat?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this.
So I'm trying to make a new CT for Dungeons of Dredmor. I find the address, set the pointer, everything works fine until I restart the game, then the pointers all just point to the offset. I've made CTs for other games and never had this problem. What am I doing wrong with this game?

Wrong forum, but check out the tutorial included with Cheat Engine.
