Cheat Engine

I've been having issues recently with speedhack. Previously it was working fine, but after the game I was using it on updated, I've been having problems. It's been either 1) crashing the game or 2) giving me this error, then crashing the game.

I've tried googling this error, but I haven't been able to find any solutions. Most other people using speedhack on this game aren't having any problems.

Yup, I am using 6.3. I also forgot to add it's Windows 8 64 bit.

weird, but try the 32-bit cheat engine binary

Weird indeed. Unfortunately both the 32 and 64 bit cheat engines give the same error.

Did you look to see if that file was there?

Yeah, the file is there. I also ran the System File Checker to see if it was damaged.

If you open the dll in notepad, you should be able to search for: QueryPerformanceCounter

If it is there, maybe CE does not have proper access to the file.

Alright I opened it up and did find QueryPerformanceCounter .

Your idea is a good one but I'm not sure if it's the case here. It did work before and the only thing that's changed is that the game had a very minor update. I did run CE as an Administrator just to see if it would work, but it still gives me the same error. Sad
