Cheat Engine

hi guys,
i was using cheat engine 6.2 for the mini pool on fb,
worked great up untill today,i was haven problems running array of bytes
so i taught id google bugs etc
anyways i seen there was an update to 6.3
so i completley deleted 6.2 and its files etc and down loaded 6.3

problem is now it wont install
keeps saying

windows cannot access the specified device path or file
you may not have the appropriate premissions to access the item,

i am admin of my pc,
i run windows 7 64 bit

i run program as admin when trying to install but keep getting the errors,
any other ides on how to install?

i have AV turned of and all fire walls,

Redownload ce
Then manually run it. (And keep your av off during and after setup just to be sure it doesn't delete ce)

ye ive re down loaded it with av and fw turned off and still get error.

If you download http://cheatengine.org/download/d1/CheatEngine63.exe
an run it. What is the exact error you get when you launch CheatEngine63.exe ? (try uploading a screenshot)

Also, rightclick that exe and go to properties
Then check the digital signatures tab. Click on details and confirm that the signature is ok

Also, try rebooting, some AV's keep deleting your stuff even when it's disabled

And obviously, make sure you have no online games running at the same time

create the folder c:\downloads and copy cheatengine63.exe from your desktop to that location

then rightclick the .exe there and choose "run as administrator"

alternatively, download http://cheatengine.org/download/d2/CheatEngine63.exe ( Just click the greyed out skip button on the bottom left)

downloaded the link above again and it just replaces the ce i already have down loaded,
i tried to make a folder but it dont let you name it c:\downloads
it just comes up as cdownloads

ive tried making this folder in
computer
program files

and also program files (x86)

i copyed ce.exe and put it in the folder and tried running it as admin and get same error

if you want to tv me and see for yer self thats no probs

Try installing firefox and then download cheat engine with that

Download with ff.
A you mentioned your previous download got overwritten instead of the usual (#) that gets added after it, so perhaps ie is broken and doesn't download the correct file

ive down loaded it with FF, ran as admin,did every thing my little head taught of and i still get error,
i run windows 7 64 bit ultimate

has any 1 else got any ideas ,this is starting to crack me up lol

ive even tried running CE 6.2 and i get same error with that now which i didnt get before.

If you're still installing from desktop, try right click on desktop->refresh, then run CE installer.

Other than that, you can try rebooting in safe mode and installing from there (might help if there is a 3rd party program messing up with ce installer).

Make sure you have, say, at least 500mb of free space on each hard drive.

Also, I've never had this problem with Cheat Engine, but I have experienced similar issues where I have had to take ownership of certain folders in order to gain full access/privileges, even though I was logged in as Admin. Be sure to look in to that, also.

ok at last found the problem..

even thought i had my online armour turned off and disabled at start up etc
it still managed to grab it and stop it from running Sad

anyways i finaly got it installed and on my pc.

the reason i upgraded in the 1st place was because i play alot of that minipool in FB and i use the extended lines but this had stopped working on 6.2 CE version,
i taught it was because CE was upgraded to 6.3.
anyways after installing 6.3 version ,i tried to scan array of bytes for
24 0A 2A D2 A2 A0 A2 A0 24 0A A1 as this is the code for the extended lines but it still comes back not found,
ive searched google etc to see if minipool patched it etc but it seems they did not,
any ideas from you guys as to how i can try find the right code again,
the above array of bytes have always worked before but not now,
i can change the text chat etc using the CE no probs but not the extended lines,

The scripts were encrypted.
We cannot make any new scripts, since it crashing sothink swf decomplier.
But if you google it 8 ball pool extended guidelines, you'll find a new codes
