Hi there! I have been reading the tutorials about how to get the pointer for a non static address and i m getting stuck into getting the static pointer address. My situation is the following, i find my address which is not static therefore i try to find the static pointer by going to "find out what accesses this address" and from there i get an "XXXXXXXX" value and "YYYY" offset, then, from the tutorial i have understood that i have to search for the "XXXXXXXX" value to get my pointer adress or adresses but when i do that i find NO matches... How is this ? What am i missing ? Please help!!

Make sure you're searching 4-byte, and that "Hex" is checked to the left of the value you search for.

Also just try using the pointer scanner option. You'll need to filter it a few times and it can take a long time to do the first scan for large games, but it's a lot less effort and the author suggests it for that reason mainly.

Thanks Rydian for your answer. Yes, I have checked the "Hex" check box and i am searching for 4-byte aswell with no results, what am i doing wrong ?

Where do i find the pointer scanner option?? Thanks for your patience and attention.

Well, i didnt apply the configuration that you show on your image but now i have and im getting the same results:

Try ranged search
it may work or may not (that if the 053E5640 value is collected from somewhere else with added offset).

search a 'Value between', use 053E5000 in the left text field, and use 053E5640 in the right text field, see if you find a green marked address.

if still not, try using 053E0000 in the left text field.
