Pikachu one works as it looks like electricity, the Pedobear one doesn't as there's nothing in the signature which complements the render. The pikachu one is ruined by the squares as again, they aren't related.

I do feel like the squares a refreshing idea. Even if it is overused it can still be classified as new. I saw them as sparks but you never know.
