So I was feeling pretty down recently. It got me thinking, what do I really expect happiness to be. I felt uneasy with no clue, and still thinking about this commonly from day to day. So does anyone care to share what they think?

It's when you've achieved any sense of feeling more positive than indifference but less positive than outright euphoria.
In other words, when your judgement is clouded by hormones, but you're still capable of semi-rational thought.

Do what you enjoy doing and find happiness in it. If you don't find happiness in what you're currently doing do something else.

Happiness to me is having direction, clear intent. Happiness to me is when I take a deep breath and become fully present and content in the 'Now'. When you realize every living Organic body in this dimension so too will expire and return again in an infinite cycle, it is a sigh of relief, no rush. Just enjoy it, be happy. That is scratching the surface of happiness for me.

As for the purpose of life. Very soon you will come to understand on a very deep level about what life is. Think along the lines of energy, consciousness, our ancient ancestors.... Wink

I usually feel happy when I accomplish a difficult task or if I play a good game of League.

If you're talking about depression, I suppose just keep yourself busy.
