Cheat Engine

For some reason cheat engine is showing a green static for a value i find yet each time i restart the game that value is still actually moving and not static. Is there a way to counter this? Would a pointer still work for this kind of thing?

What kind of value is it? Anyhow, yes, a pointer will still work, just set it so it doesn't stop when encountering a static.

Is this a blizzard game by any chance? They tend to do stupid stuff like that

Borderlands 2. I have one code where it makes the gold chest free and a few other code but the pointer never works for long due the base static value moving.

Edit: although one code i have would be easier if i knew more about asembly.

It's not so much that it's hard, ive just been lazy in learning assembly.

So far a pointer for the static value has been working. Still wierd that a static wouldnt truely be a static.

hey pox, I've actually been looking for a way to get unlimited golden keys in borderlands 2 as well. would you mind explaining how you went about doing it?

And the pointers dont work again. This game is setup wierd.

As for the keys, i found the position of the chest, then browsed the memory around it and found the price of the chest. i then just set it to 0.
