|
|
| Okay, so I got a virus on windows, so I went on linux since nothing could remove it. Later, I used my mom's win7 reinstall disc and reinstalled. It got really slow, buggy and the mc textures and sounds and stuff were messed up, so I went back to ubuntu and got a win7 legal? iso and used my product key. But now, every time I boot up, it says "UR KEY IS WRONG USE PHONE SYSTEM OR PAY $500 JUST BECAUSE YOU FUCKING TRIED TO REINSTALL WINDOWS" (of course, not exactly, but you get the idea.) Now, I have an xp iso and a product key. I have tried a lot of things to make my usb bootable with it, but I'm sorry to ask, it seems to be harder to do than on linux, could someone sort of walk me through it, step by step? I tried the win7 built-in bootable usb creator but after it said 5 isos where wrong I started to blame it, instead of the iso.

Did you reinstall drivers when you used your moms disc to install Win7?
Anyway, http://www.bootdisk.com/pendrive.htm

| ^ I could go into accelerated mode, but I really don't want to pay for something that I seemingly could do in 10 seconds if I knew how with diskpart. Besides, I'm 11 and sort of have no way to pay

list disk
select disk (your usb disk)
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
assign
There you have your bootable usb disk.

I feel like an idiot... the hour of searching wasn't enough apparently; now I know why it wasn't working, despite all the diskpart.exes open, unetbootin, etc... XP can't even boot with a usb

Thanks for your replies, but sorry
