If he asks for any personal information such as your "Social Insurance Number" or what ever your government has to identify citizens ect... don't give it out.
Your brother is most likely not dead but someone may have stolen his identity.
You see lots of people fall for these scams because they first scam a family member which allows them to gain knowlege of all of their family members and where they used to live and all that fun stuff.
They took your brothers name and the information that he probably gave them and now they are contacting you with horrible english letters to terrorise you untill you give them information.
Best thing to do is ignore it if they start asking for things like money transfers or if they start asking you to do stuff that involves you doing anything that has to do with you signing bank papers ect...
My guess is that they are going to pull the oldist trick in the book, they're going to be hey its your brother I've recently come into a large sum of money but I can't tell you how I got it. I plan to move back but I need your help to get the money home so your going to have to go to the bank and ask for transfer papers or something like that and sign your name and mail them to him and he will do the rest. Then they have all the information they need, your bank info. Thats what they wanted all along money. They probably never killed your brother to get information but he may have sold you guys out or his life was threatened.
