Cheat Engine

right i got cheat engine 6.2 beta 5 and i like how the veh debugger is better. but something is not right. whenever i close cheat engine, it comes up with a error message saying a unhandled expression has occured and a load of other stuff. and i have to close cheat engine via task manager. and makes it more weird is. its affecting cheat engine 6.1 too! Exclamation

run the registry reset program before running ce 6.2 beta 5 and when going back to 6.1

Does this also happen with 6.1 ?

Make sure you do not have an anti virus that blocks access to the temp folder of your system

Try running the installer of CE 6.1 again. ( http://cheatengine.org/download/d1/CheatEngine61.exe )

And is there anything specific you do? Or does it happen if you just open and close ce ?

Generally speaking, reinstalling windows does wonders to problems like these (ask freiza) but perhaps there are tools out there that can fix your system (like acters125 did)

That means an update on your system did this.
I applied the latest patches of windows and don't have this problem (win 7 x64)
So my guess is that it might be your anti virus that has been patched and is now being too intrusive (or something else that you recently installed)

Doesn't have to be a detection, but might be a new feature.

Perhaps it now prevents write/delete access to all apps that access folders that have had all their protection stripped (ce sets a specific folder in the temp folder to be accessible by every user on that system)

But it could also be a backdoor trojan that you accidentally got infected with and is messing with ce to protect itself from being found

Driver update: You never know, perhaps game developers have pushed your graphics card vendor to put in code that interferes with ce...

Could be anything.

mind if I ask a question about CE 6.2 beta 5.
almost every time I open or try to close CE 6.2 beta 5 it just freezes on me!? Crying or Very sad

but I'm patient enough to handle it. Cool

also I'm using kernel debugger (my fav. debugging type) and when I try to open CE 6.1 it just gives me more errors about there is a newer version on my computer and the kernel debugger cannot be used because it is unloaded on the newer one and the driver is loaded to the newer one, and fails to star process watcher. But still open to the CE window.
my computer is:
-windows 7 home premium X32
-intel atom processor
