Hey,
So I've been trying to find the name of the opponent pokemon on battle, but every battle it changes, everytime I search I get at least 3 addresses, 2 are from the pokedex and 1 is from the actual battle, but after that battle ends it changes to some parts of the chat. Then the next pokemon name goes elsewhere. I have no idea of what to do.
Also I've been trying to find my own nick, which i can with some additional numbers after it (maybe id? no idea) and my own active pokemons and the same thing happens as to the opponent pokemon name.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Maybe their just changing addresses?
I've seen something like that in a game.

You get around that by finding out what writes to that address. If you have not done the CE tutorial, I recommend doing that. You might find something useful in steps 6, 7 and 8.
If you are looking for a way to change which pokemon the opponent will use each time you enter a battle, then you should not be searching for the name of the pokemon. It's unlikely that the name of the pokemon and the value that represents which pokemon is on the battlefield will be found in the same place. If the value that represents which pokemon is on the battlefield, is the value you wish to find, and the location of the value changes each time you enter a new battle, then this will not be an easy code to find. You might need to use the pointer scan feature. I'm not fully sure how it works yet, as I have only just started using CE.

Oh i see what you mean now
So basicly, find it once, find the pointers to that and i can find it everytime later on, correct?
