I'm not getting it right now because 1) I'm poor as fuck and 2) the price will probably drop in the near future or it will get better parts for the same price (really only the gpu could be upgraded, everything else is great for a laptop) and 3) I can make do without it for a year.
But when I go to a university next year (probably), there's really no space in the dorms for a desktop, so this is the next best thing.
The gpu isn't anything super but it could probably run all the new games on lowest settings at 1080p.
Heck it can probably run TF2 at 1080px2 on medium settings.
What a kick that'd be.

As for the price, I know it's like super high and all, but for the cool new technology of a dual-screened laptop you can't really blame them.
And comparing it to a mac at the same price the parts are still twice as good, without even looking at the fact that it has two screens.

@Sam I actually need three or four screens but whatever.

@Apo advertised 2 hour battery life.
I wouldn't even care if it were 2 minutes because I'll be using it like a desktop, plugged in all the time.

That will not give you a smooth fps in TF2 on a super high res.

I'm perfectly fine with that, it's not meant for gaming, more for coding and video editing, but it will give 90+fps on lowest settings on tf2, which is the best way to play anyway.
edit: according to the benchmarking for that gpu comparing it to more demanding games than tf2 it gets 140+fps on low settings when paired with an i5.
In other words with a quad i7 it could easily get 180+ fps in tf2.

The GPU is worse than mine and I barely get a good FPS in TF2 at a high res on literally the lowest settings possible on my i5-2500k. You'll probably get about 90 and it will drop below 60 a lot so it'll feel shit, but whatever. If you run it at a none-widescreen resolution you should be good though.

I run it fine on a 6150SE and a phenom X2 2.8 ghz.
I'm sure he'll be fine.

What's the purpose of having a notebook if you're just going to leave it on a desk? Just make a micro-ITX based build for cheaper that will be stronger than that POS and still take up about the same space.

The point is, if I can run it fine, he should run it good.

There's lots of tricks to get this game to run good.

What the fuck is fine and good? Shut the fuck up. If you don't have a stable 60+fps at all times it is not running fine or good and I'm 100% sure that with a shit GPU you can't run it at that stable when all these faggot effects and shit come up on your screen. Are you seriously telling me about TF2 and even customising it like honestly?
