Cheat Engine will not work at all for me in windows XP, I have tried it in Chrome, Firefox, and IE8. All I want is to hack flash games with it. I am using windows XP and I seen a guy on youtube saying that Cheat Engine works badly in XP but works good in Vista and Windows 7, I cannot upgrade to either of those...please help ASAP

Usually people say it works bad in vista and 7 and well in xp...
Both cases it's just ignorance

What games are you hacking (if facebook you can't)
Are they based on AS2 (shift 3 value type) or AS3 (double value type)
Is your firefox version higher than 2.0? (if so, target plugin-container.exe)

I am trying to hack flash games on the site myyearbook
Using the *1 and *8 method but it will not let me do next scan it always returns 0 addresses. I tried to target plugin container.exe but it still wont work. I am using CE 6.1

*8 method is the shift 3 method but then badly implemented. (it's not always *8, sometimes it's *8+x, which is why the shift 3 method is a lot better to use

Here is a custom value type that works better: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=529904 (shift 3)

Also, this *8 stuff only works in old games. for newer games, use as value type 4 bytes (No *8) or Double (no *8)

And if you have plugin-container, ALWAYS target plugin-container, never target firefox.exe. (Sometimes there are multiple plugin-container.exe's , in that case, close them all using the taskmanager and restart the game so you only get one)

I have looked in that section, I know I am a noob though. Sorry, but I do have one question. Where do I put the codes in?
