What do the openvpn logfiles say ?
Or are you using SWAN or some other vpn ?
What encryption policy did you setup ? 128bit/64bit/none ?
Not all clients support every kind of encryption... especially iphone and windows clients.

poptop + pptpd. Didn't see a log file, not wanting an encryption.
:S, if you could set it up for me as you like, I can just give you lifetime access.

Hehe, that's not needed, mate.
I'll do what I can to help you out
First things first, though. It's hard to solve anything without proper logs, so..
If you haven't specified a logfile, chances are it will log to syslog.
So have a look in the file /var/log/syslog and tell me if you see any messages related to pptp.
If not, first thing to do would be to edit /etc/pptpd.conf and remove the # from the line that says debug and then restart your daemons.
After you did that, try to vpn in again and see if you get messages in you logfile now.
