I find Dark Souls easier actually.

Dark Souls is so much easier, what with the plunging attack and all that. Parrying and riposte seem to have a bigger window for timing as well and you seem to be able to generally find much more powerful weapons early on.

The graphics are much better and I just love dat feel and dat immersion. They definitely did the surroundings right in Dark Souls. The story is much harder to follow in Dark Souls too, you really gotta search for it and read all item descriptions/exhaust all conversation options. Sad how Oscar didn't get a bigger role in Dark Souls like he was supposed to.

Easiest way to progress for you and beat blighttown is to get some sunbros to guide you to kellogs so you can ring then second bell and then take the waterwheel up to the valley of drakes and out through the new londo ruins to the firelink shrine.
Then you should go to where Andrei was and beat Sen's funhouse before you go to anal londo.
