How do you find stuff on the process list from the Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.?

Try switching to the window title mode instead of processes, it's easier for most applications.

not sure what you mean exactly but internet explorer is iexplore google chrome is chrome, not sure about firefox. you could look for icons to.

If you open Windows Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del), and select the tab Processes, you can see the description of those names.
opera.exe will have the description 'Opera Internet Browser'
iexplorer.exe will have the description 'Internet Explorer'
chrome.exe will have 'Google Chrome'
soffice.exe will have 'OpenOffice.org 3.3'
