you read this as
Code:

mov [ebx+00000000],ecx

which means the offset is 00000000

But to be sure, use the disassembler and check the instructions before and see if nothing is ADDed to ebx. If it does, that is the offset.

Looks to me like he went down the wrong route for that pointer.
