If it's a sound file it'll be complicated, if it's just any sound or a clear tone it's a lot easier to achieve. Please specify.

>he says press power button

a lot of motherboards play a sound when you start your computer to tell you a message e.g 1 clear beep = everything is ok
he wants a wire from his power button to some external speakers though

put a small fresh rodent behind there each week and when you press it your computer should emit a small squeak. on top of that this method has a recently added feature whereby if you press hard enough your power button should leak some red juice

get one of those programable sound postcards
tear it apart since you only want the card.
get some wires jank off the mini speaker and solder new long wires, connect that wires to your speakers.
then check the open close setup and tear it appart, solder a wire to the + end of the circuit and another to the - end of the circuit, then connect them to your power button.
there you go.

Just saying. Besides I think OP doesn't have that since he wants some makeshift version of it. Else he probably wants to troll hardcore like setting the startup sound on windows to porn in a library.
