I remember I -REPPED someone just for the kicks, and they made a thread in GD complaining about it. He also made a few threads in RS flaming me because I derepped him. I didn't respond because I didn't want to start a flame war, so yeah.

Some people are insane about it. They would sell their soul for a +rep. Dunno why. The rep system in itself is encouraging people to not help for new members. Because new members can't give reps. So no possible reward, no help. Luckily, most of us are not such jerks but I know that some people are.
