Just received an offer from a local friend to purchase his drive for $90. Owned for 6 months but rarely used, seems to be in really good condition from my personal examination. Further investigation revealed it to be one of the revised version of the product line, resolving issues in earlier models.
Spec wise it sports a Caviar Green 2TB (WD20EADS) drive inside the enclosure, SATA 3Gb/s, 32MB cache. The RPM however is on the slower side of 5400 RPM, and it uses 4 platters of 500GB (newer Green drives uses 3 platters of 667GB).

Here comes the dilemma. I do not really require another drive, but this seemed to be a great deal to snatch up the product, repackage it and resell it at a higher price (probably $100+). Will I be a fool to fall for the deal?
Deal will be sealed on Sunday.

i have 2 of those WD 2TB HDDs and im satisfied, they work like they should. But i dont think you will be able to resell it for 100+ since new ones on Amazon/Newegg cost around 99$
Also there is a promotion(5/28th) for it with a code for 80$USD and free shipping right now(newegg.com tho)

Haha, right? Got my WD Passport for $110. Come back a month later and it was $89.
