Just bought a stereo, it was orignally $197 but only cost $135 cause the remote for it was lost. Can I buy a universal remote anywhere to use for it?

I believe that this is what you are looking for. It looks like it is not the original remote for that model, but a recreation of it. The site seems legit, one reason is that the domain is remotes.com. There are also universal Sony remotes that might work, if this does not.

If you have the product information for the Stero you should be able to look up the remote codes for it just like TVs and program a universal remote to operate it.

In some cases the universal remotes will come with a huge booklet of codes as well.
