Okay, it looks insane :O
Anything just a little easier to start of with?
I want to learn to make small games, and programming them myself.

Because we all know some secret underdog websites that you can't find through Google.
God, just Google "C++" tutorial and click the first link, how retarded are you?
Also, I do not recommend learning C++ without any programming experience. I heavily encourage learning C#/.Net, and staying with that choice. Although C++ is indeed stronger right now, you won't come to use the extra functions it gives when you're the rookie you are now. Matter of fact, not many people ever use those extra things C++ can give you. Besides, C# WILL be the language of the future, no doubt at that. Its support for internet/web development will come in handy when we're in 2020 because we probably won't be using PC's as they are now. We will be using things like ChromeOS (An OS that is only a web-browser) since everything will be web-based by then. Therefor, learning a hard language like C++ will be useless then because only people who still use computers as they are now will have benefit from it.
A perfect guide for starters can be found on ThePirateBay. It's down right now, but when it's up search for "C sharp". You will find a torrent with the name "Microsoft.Press.Microsoft.Visual.C.Sharp.2010.Step.by.Step.Mar.2010.eBook-BBL". I have to say it's one of the best books for beginners out there, and it's pretty recent, too.
TL;DR:
C++ bad
C# good
Download C# e-book

I do, actually. What is it exactly that you don't agree with?

C++ will not be going anywhere for AAA games for a looong time, at least in the engine department. It's too performance critical.

Do you? Are you absolutely certain you know what you're talking about? I have my doubts. Because if you knew what you were talking about, you'd know that C# is written in C++, which in turn uses the C compiler. So how would development of C# continue if we were to follow the following advise, and I quote (again, technically):
Quote: | Therefor, learning a hard language like C++ will be useless then because only people who still use computers as they are now will have benefit from it. |
So I would agree with Butters and reiterate that it would seem as though:
