I was changing the settings.ini and i saved it, and started up the game, but then i checked again to see if i can make any more tweaks, and my previous changes went back to normal...

Why are you trying to change the settings via settings.ini? To feel cool? Protip, that's what the settings menu is there for.

You can't change the FOV with the ingame settings Wink.

@Daniel.: Was the game running when you edited the file? The game overwrite the file with old settings when you close it.

no the only graphics option I got was quality and even if I set it to low nothing changed, and @Trax the game wasn't open when I was changing the settings

Protip: set dx level to 9 instead of auto if you need it to run better.

There should be an option for advanced if I remember correctly. Choose that and it lets you choose the specifics.

Black Ops and BC2 both when you edit the settings file like that it resets it to a default if you change something it doesn't like, like fov on servers I have run any fov setting higher than say 75 or 20 higher than what the default is. I'd kick for a cheat as it's an unfair advantage. Just make your settings.ini read-only after you make your changes.

BC2 exposes its FOV vertically, not horizontally.

If you ever play in a gaming league they disallow it. PB will ban you for a fov out of acceptable limits. It's highly likely VAC will too. Anyway I never did permanent bans, sometimes it's too many to keep up with and the more there are the more server lag it could cause on older hardware, read 5 years ago when I ran game servers. I'd remove everything after 30 days.
