Have any of you guys had experience with Blu-Rays? I'm not so sure if this is how Blu-Ray works or there is something wrong with my configuration.
I've got 2 exact same systems both with the same components except for the graphic card and optical drive. Both machines are equipped with a HD5450 1GB DDR3 from different brands, one has a Blu-Ray burner, the other just a standard DVD writer and both are running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with Service Pack 1.
The internal SATA Blu-Ray drive that I've got comes with PowerDVD 9, when I insert a Blu-Ray disc for the first time, PowerDVD 9 will open with with a message "loading Blu-Ray" and the movie will play. The next time if I do this by reinserting the same disc, PowerDVD 9 opens with that same message and then it minimizes into the taskbar, but the movie is still being played as I can hear what's being said. Now I have to click the program on the taskbar to bring the screen up. I've tried other Blu-Ray movies and it all seems to be doing the same thing, first time works and the rest it doesn't.
Other options I've tried is
-Update graphic drivers- doesn't work
-Swap graphic cards between both computers and even taking the same Blu-Ray drive to the other machine-doesn't work
-Update Blu-Ray drive firmware and PowerDVD 9- don't work
-Disable autoplay, a menu will prompt, I click on the program and still minimizes into the task bar after that "loading" message.
-Tried a Nvidia graphic card with latest drivers-same problem
-Update motherboard bios-don't help
The odd part is playing DVD movies doesn't do this and if I remove the Hd5450 and use the onboard Intel graphics, no matter how many times I've tried, PowerDVD 9 will always open up and not minimize into the taskbar when a Blu-Ray is inserted.
My question is do any of you guys have this problem?
Is that how Blu-Ray works?
Are there any other players that will support playing of Blu-Ray?

Can't say I have that problem, but PowerDVD may have a software patch for your version. Sounds like you have tried to update everything but that.

First thing that came into my mind was that and still, it doesn't work.
For that person it's DVDs that will minimize the program, but for me DVDs don't do that, only Blu-Ray.
Maybe this Blu-Ray drive itself has problems or Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 is crap?

I think I'd lean toward PowerDVD being crap. I have used the PowerDVD series and I have never been impressed with it, not 9 but previous versions.
