It's from a laptop DVD drive, need to know so I can find out if a thatport->sata adapter exists.

it looks like a scsi but its not.

Can you tell me if its inside the laptop which part? DVD drive or w/e?

are you sure that harddisk came from that laptop ?

anyhow, it looks like a 50-pin scsi port, but shouldn't fit unless you break off stuff

It's a DVD drive, and yes. I pulled it directly from it.

Gateway is notorious for using proprietary hardware, they always have, I've had to turn down upgrade jobs due to having to order parts directly from Gateway.
