Help me guys, i'm using windows 7. i actually downloaded a code and its extension name was .php i actually opened it with a notepad, i want to bring back that as an unknown application just like when i first downloaded it. -thanks Smile

actually you'll actually need to look into changing file associations on windows. actually here's a link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default

it didn't work Sad its icon is still a notepad, i want it to become an unknown application again btw thanks for the effort Smile

Click Start goto Find type regedit press Enter.
In the left pane goto HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT scroll down to icofile expand this entry you should see two subentries DefaultIcon and Shell open DefaultIcon. In the right pane you should see an entry for Default, make sure the Value entry under this heading is set to %1
Close the registry, reboot the computer. Your unknown application icons should return for unknown apps.

the value entry of Defaulticon is %1 so i didn't changed it. is there other option? thanks for the help by the way Smile
