You can always put a small plastic bag around the ipod and just cover the sides of the buds of your headphones...

I already do this with my nano. It can get wet as long as it doesn't submerge. I usually hold it away from the water anyway. But I have washed my car with it in my pocket and I get soaked and it still works.

Using this logic, I am going to go deep sea diving with my HD Vidcam with a plastic bag on it - will save me tons of money - thank you for the advice!

if the bag is sealed it shouldn't ruin.

Plasticine is quite good and sticking stuff together.
Plasticine & a plastic bag = £1
Waterproof case = £100+
Why did no one think of this before.

I'm told that the old Nano Videos are pretty much water proof - though I never tried it with mine. Also, I just put my iPod Touch 4th gen on a little ledge at the top of my shower and use speakers.

ITT: Brolock being a bro. | or not an idiot. I dont understand how taking your ipod and earbuds into the shower is more reasonable then turning your speakers up and hearing it fine.
Unless you shower upstairs and your speakers are downstairs I guess that'd be reasonable.
but if you do have an ipod you should have that dock that has speakers on it

You can buy decent quality portable speakers for pretty damn cheap. It may be a nice idea to invest in those instead of waterproof case and earbuds.
