It really works.
If you have any empty flash drives lying around, put them to use.
I popped a 2gb one in and all the minor hiccups disappeared.

What? The reason is so fast is that you just get improved seek times. Especially true with the new USB 3.0 standard.

If you are talking about paging, it isn't turned on. As to Readyboost, its benefit is purely drawn from the fact that you get better seek times from accessing the hard drive. If you are having problems currently with speed or chokes in the system, get a better hard drive.
