Recently, I paid my teacher for something the school was asking for this week, She then said that she would use it instead of me since I was absent for 2 days, is that illegal?

You paid for something and the teacher did not deliver.
This means it's a breach of contract, so just check the contract you both signed when you paid her and confront her with it.

It's definitely illegal, unless it was stated somewhere in the contract.

OP needs to explain it better. I sorta get it, though.

Yes, it is theft since she wasn't honoring the deal.

Unless you signed an agreement, nothing you can do. There's no evidence of the deal.

The funny thing is... is that this topic was posted Feb 8th. His last post current to this exact time, was Feb 10th. Why post back in this topic when its already solved???

Yeah OP really needs to tell us exactly what it was.

You don't need to sign an agreement to have a verbal contract.

It is not theft because the law is pretty descriptive about exactly what theft is and isn't. It all depends on what agreements you had. If you let someone borrow your car for 15 minutes, and they don't bring it back, that is grand theft auto. But if someone borrows your pencil and they don't give it back, no police department is going to charge that person with theft, and no judge is gonna waste his time.

The best thing you can do is sue her for it. And you have very little chance of winning, unless it was something of utter value.
