Okay, so I got the Cr-48, nice little netbook. Put a piece of tape, opened it up, it boots automatically. 'lul wtf' Boots up, nice little Splash Screen, then it immediately goes to what I guess is the main OS screen. Like seriously WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? IS THIS CHROME FUCKING LOADED ONTO A BOOTABLE FLASH DRIVE? No native C++ support, no native java support, no way to get into the operating system, everything is web based, nothing! Google, you seriously fucking expect this to go mainstream in a year? THERE'S NOT EVEN A START MENU OR ANYTHING. There's absolutely no GUI that clarify that this is an OS. I don't even understand how this can be called an OS. Google, you have disappointed me. With all that fucking money you have, with all the programmers, resources, this is all you can do? SERIOUSLY THIS IS ALL YOU CAN DO? This operating system has no effort besides putting wi-fi integration into the chrome web browser. There isn't even an on-screen button to turn off the thing. I can't believe this. I am truly disappointed.

It's a netbook. For the internet. Not a laptop.

Enjoy your shit, if you don't want it, use a barcode scanner on the box and shipped it back to the Dummy adresses and google would sent you a $100 giftcard because you are fucktard stupid to enjoy nice thing.

This topic made me laugh.
ChromeOS doesn't seem too bad for a free, experimental WebOS so far.

not an os with no menu or access to almost nothing within the system | Hmm, well that's kinda weird, because I'm really not quite sure where the fuck you would have gotten that idea from.
Honestly, it's meant for netbooks. Before Chrome, netbooks were all terrible. Unbelievably slow and wouldn't let you do anything, not even browse the web, which was their entire purpose. They designed a super light operating system to do just that, and they did it flawlessly.
Now shut the fuck up.

Any linux is good, as long as it's lightweight. Gentoo and Debian are also good
