But it's really underpowered compared to the rest of my machine.

I don't know if that qualifies for cheap. But if your in that price range that card wouldn't be a bad idea, heck, go for a GTX 560 if you want. But those cards are both $220+ USD. Cheap and powerful cards are hard to find...

| you can easily run BC2 on a 4850. Just remember you need the quad core power to back it up for BFBC2. I play maxed on a 4850 and a Phenom II x4 925 OC'd to 3.4.

plays everything i have at a decent resolution (1600x900) at decent quality. Not too pricey, and is very cool (idles at 35 C). You'll get a minimum 30-40 fps on high settings. I don't really care about settings as long as i can play the game. So I get 50-60 fps because I play at low quality.

You can probably grab the GT 240 for less than that if you wait.
Nobody buys those cards anymore and companies are clearing them out for as cheap as they can once in a while.
