Exactly as title states. Made a RAID 1 array with two SpinPoint F4s, and when I go to install Windows, the installer doesn't detect it.
Something I'm doing wrong?

Is your intent to have Windows mirror or your BIOS? If it's for Windows to handle your raid format both drives, install windows let windows think there are 2 drives, then go into Disk Management and convert the drives to dynamic, once done you should be able to create your mirror.
Otherwise if you want BIOS to let the hardware handle it, then make sure you have RAID 1 selected in bios and perform your install.

You might need to slipstream the driver into the windows disk to work properly.

I agree with ZacTheSin, slip stream an ISO with that driver on it.
This works with OEM OS, not sure about OS restore disk, don't see a reason it shouldn't.

I've always had issues with RAID arrays unless I slip stream the drivers, even on win7.
Tell us what you find, elpacco.

In windows 7 at the harddisk selection screen there should be an option to load device drivers (on usb)
