Linear Dodge works nicely too.

And when it comes to placement, just keep good composition in mind. It's not ENTIRELY necessary to have a C4D there. A C4D can add to the effect of a sig, but at the same time throwing it in blindly will detract from the work rather than add to it. There's nothing much technical about where to throw in a C4D except for changing color and layer type.
