|

Well, I'm in need of a laptop.
Not really sure on what to get though.. I'm planning on waiting for black Friday sales, but i want to plan it out before that. Looking for something about under $800 or so.
Preferably 4gb+ of ram, w/ specs for decent gaming. I have my desktop for gaming, so i don't want something that's an overkill. So.. anyone have any good suggestions?

If you have a desktop for gaming, why do you need a laptop for gaming, too? You can get a really nice netbook for ~$400 that would be perfect for all manner of schoolwork and word processing, because imo, that's what laptops are for. Before you spend a lot of money on a laptop, you might want to think about what I said.
However, if you still really think that you want a laptop that can do gaming, here's my recommendation: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115864
Keep in mind that it has a 17' screen, and not the most battery friendly components, so if portability is a priority it probably isn't the laptop for you. However, if you mostly care about horsepower, it's probably pretty good.

Well, i barley get time at home anymore. I usually get home at night, then if i have time id do my work then play for a while. Having a laptop would help with the boredom when I'm not home.. Ehh i don't really like netbooks.. too small.. Maybe something around a 13-15''? Long batt life would kinda help too.
