How do I cheat?

I have had a recent problem with my cheat engine... (just yesterday in fact) whenever i open cheat engine my CPU usage goes from 10 or 8% to 80 - 100% ... which causes my games to lag like HELL. I have not been doing anything different.. and it's not when i have a game running aswell... just when i have cheat engine open in general. I really have been doing NOTHING differently to any other day.. It happened yesterday around 2 pm.. after my computer had reset after clearing an infection that was on my computer (not cheat engine) i have tried rebooting my computer.. Nothing is working. Pls help

Possibly the virus is still on your pc. Try Malwarebytes, clear your cache, and run a virus scan.

Do you have any multiplayer games running at the same time as ce when the cpu usage spikes ?

Did you attach cheat engine to a process or does the spike even happen before that?

I know it's weird, but have you tried disabling your anti-virus, or at least the resident shield ? That might work
