Same as first scan option is not working for me in windows 7 32 bit.

Already tried running as administrator..
Was working fine with windows xp.

hmm.. I've had no probs with win 7 and cheat engine.. since you tried running as admin you would have tried the compatibility mode.

I duel booted xp and windows 7 on the newer gaming pc.. so that xp programs could still be run on the same pc if they would not run on the win 7 partition.

sometimes windows permissions just get messed up..

I have got a record breaking 5 year xp installation on an older pc.. but since its been defragged a couple of times some admin user permissions have gone haywire.. sod doing system restore after some changes have been made.. still running and posting on it .. gaming on the new one...

anyway.. try reinstalling cheat engine.. doing a restart before running... if you have not got win 7 pro you can't tinker with the permissions so much in the home editions..

if you got the installation cd's for both xp and win 7 you can always intall them both as duel boot..

install xp first then win 7 can allocate the memory it needs and set up the duel boot menu... so when you boot up the pc you get a menu that offers the choice of starting up "older versions of window" eg.. xp..

do you have enough diskspace left on the disk ce is in ?
And do you have (over)write permissions to the folder ce is in ? (easily tested: write a cheat table, edit it, and save again, now open it and see if the edit stays)

also, get dbgview from sysinternals and do a scan, perhaps the log will contain something useful
