If someone could make two builds with the following specifications from
memoryexpress.com or newegg.ca

preferably memoryexpress because shipping costs do not apply there since I can just go and pick up the parts Very Happy

Build 1 :
- Cheapest as possible
- 21.5 inch monitor with hdmi
- 2GB Ram Max
- NO VIDEO CARD
- Atleast a Dual core
-300GB of HDD Space

Build 2:
- Under $900
- With 21.5 inch monitor or 22 inch with hdmi
- 4GB RAM
- Quad core i5 at the most
- Video card that can run Starcraft II on medium high smoothly
- 500 + GB of HDD space

No keyboard or mouse needed

Why 2 builds?
So i can compare how much each would cost ( Since I might just give my dad my current computer and build myself a good one)

And my current build is
quad core Q6600 3gb ram, 8600GT
if your wondering

Also would it be better to get an AMD build?
I've seen that they have quad core processors for like a 100 bucks

upgrade your ram to 4gb, overclock your cpu to around 3.6/3.9 and buy a gtx 460. Enjoy your nice computer.

Your current build still has life in it. For office use just build a simple machine. Nothing fancy or stuff.

RAM (x2): http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148240

That's the cheapest parts (not being total crap) I could find. IMO do as saif said and upgrade your ram + gfx on your current comp (possibiyl motherboard as well) and buy this kind of comp as an office comp.

I honestly have no idea, I'm not updated at all as to what's new + good and bad etc. This is what I feel should do the job of an office comp at least.. (You could go even further and jump down to a celeron 1.8 ghz CPU but yea.. not that much of a price difference).
Also you shouldn't really just go ahead and buy what I said. It's only a pointer to what's a reasonable build.

What's your postal code so I can see if I could manage to get this under $500.

As for the monitor, is if for the office?

$408.82
Not including shipping or additional charges

IMHO, it's better that you get the monitor at a local retailer, this way you won't have to pay for shipping.

21.5 inch HDMI for only $134.99

@kls

im guessing it will just be about $40 for shipping?

maybe you could try an AMD build? (Only if its cheaper by a significant amount)

memoryexpress.com
seem to have cheap parts also??

Not to sure about memoryexpress.com, are they good?

Here is a AMD build from newegg.

Take everything from the Intel build except for the monitor and replace with these items.

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145246
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103903
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131672

(!): The motherboard had build in HDMI so you can connect with your HDMI monitor.

Shipping w/Purolator Ground (International)

Grand total: $370.86

Other option:

Change that AMD dual core into a quad core and another stick of 2GB to become 4GB

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103871

Grand total: $450.65
