Windows 7 64bit RAM

I just finished building my new computer and installing windows 7

But when I go to computer specifications it says

Memory: 2GB (1.75 usable)

What does this exactly mean?

Why isn't it able to use the full 2gb

the ram stick I installed is Kingston 2GB DDR2

This is the first system I've seen that does that..

Anyway to disable it so I can use the full 2GB

check your bios to see if there is a way to configure the memory map for 64-bit os's

Hmm if its just for the GPU then Its okay.

As for the bios, i couldn't find anything on memory map

Yeah, probably shared memory with the GPU, thus the GPU is taking the 256MB.
